LONG STROKE COMPETITION ENGINES 1120cc/1150cc/1200cc
 
BLOCK: Sunbeam B1, fitted with special longer liners, bored to 74mm.
Crankcase strengthening plate, sandwiching alloy blocks on to.
Main caps.
PISTONS: 11/16" pin with modified skirts and large valve cutouts.
CONRODS: 11/16" lightened/balanced set, converted for 3/8" bigend bolts.
B/E BOLT: 3/8" Cosworth spec steel.
CRANK: B1 Submerged arc welded to increase stroke, tuftrided/balanced.
BEARINGS: Competition lead/copper +010" mains, std bigends.
OIL PUMP: Std capacity fitted with bronze driven/tuftrided drive gear.
SUMP: High capacity/separate oil surge baffle plate.
FLYWHEEL: 5 x bolt (B1) lightened + balanced with comp clutch assembly.
CLUTCH: Uprated O/E cover, semi-ceramic paddle plate.
T-CHAIN: Race quality fitted with additional half link.
CYL HEAD: Sport machined for Wills rings, 1.4" x 1.125" valves, tapered guides, enlarged and flowed ports/valve throats, balanced combustion chambers, race double valve springs, tempered spring caps, competition (cap head) high tensile head bolts.
CAM+ R22 or equivalent. 360" lift, 35-75-75-35 timing camshaft.
TAPPETS Lightweight (Cosworth spec) Steel.
IGNITION Lucas 45D4 distributor with matched advance curve.
  NGK 8ECS Spark plugs.
